2026 ALSA Annual Meeting

About This Format


This format is devoted to scholarly dialogue on recently published monographs in Asian law and society. It brings together an author with a small group of readers (commentators) for an in-depth discussion of the work’s contributions and implications. Eligible works must have been published on or after October 1, 2025.

Submission Requirements


Proposals should include the following:

Book Information Full title, author(s), publisher, and year of publication. Eligible works must have been published on or after October 1, 2025.
Panel Description A concise statement (200–300 words) outlining the scholarly significance of the work and the focus of the discussion.
Participants Full names, positions, affiliations, and emails of:
· The Panel Organizer
· The Author(s)
· The Chair
· 3–4 Readers (commentators) who will review the book.

Unlike other submission categories, Author Meets Readers Book Panel proposals are submitted directly by email. Please send the required information to:
